Original Spiderman trailer with WTC towers
I found the original trailer for the first movie. This trailer was released only a few months before the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Centres. It was debated whether they should keep this scene in the movie now that NYC no longer has these world reknown towers or if it would cause too much controversy. Their final decision was to remove it even as a trailer. Thanks to the world of internet, however, the towers and the trailer will always be remembered.

The NEW English
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear upkonfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when thetroublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

For Blog's Sake

It's halloween. My least favourite day in all the year. Perhaps because it reminds me of overeating candy as a young boy and getting tummie aches, or because it links in my mind to the most evil of days. Evil comes from Devil, and he certainly isn't my favourite of fallen angels.
Don't get me wrong, it's always fun to dress up and pretend to be someone you aren't. In fact, so many people love it that they do it all the time. I know from drama days that it is often easier to be someone you aren't in a public setting than it is to be yourself. They put on this mask and pretend to be a certain way, then when they get home and are alone or with their families, the mask comes off and they are a completely different person.
I wonder if people often take that approach to being 'like Christ'. If you can take the role of being a Christian, then you are simply in character...able to go in front of anyone because you know that if you are confronted by someone who questions you or makes you feel uncomfortable because you don't really know the answers to their questions, you can just take the mask off and say "Here I am! I'm just joshin' ya!"
God wants us to be more than just actors/actresses. We don't want to show Jesus Christ as a mask that we wear because that means we could put Him on and take Him off as we please. Instead, we want Him to be a permanent part of who we are at all times. If we do that, we would be proud to let Him be seen in us. We wouldn't want to hide who we really are.

Superheroes everywhere
I was noticing on my last 3 blogs that they all have to do with Marvel comic characters. While Spiderman is my favourite, I have to admit a certain fondness for Iceman aka Bobby Drake.
One of the various differences between Marvel comic heroes and DC comic heroes is the city from which they come. Marvel uses real cities such as New York and Detroit. DC uses false cities such as Metropolis, Gotham, and Central city. So if you ever wonder which comic a hero comes from, check the city from which they dwell.
In Marvel, Spiderman actually meets the Xmen and he's even offered a chance to work with them. He chooses to work alone...not even allowing any of the Xmen to know his true identity (except prof. X and Jean Grey, who can read minds). He's more of a loner than Wolverine.

Famous Movie Kiss
What a coincidence. I noticed this posting on Janet's site and wondered what my famous kiss would be. Looks like I not only like Spiderman, but I am LIKE Spiderman. What famous kiss would you be?

Enter, the RiP Kord
I've noticed alot of contraversy about who I am. I am who I am. One of the joys about blogging is anonymity. The Canadian Yogger would know this, as I'm sure that his mother did not put "Canadian Yogger" on his birth certificate. His true identity is known to me, as well as a few other people out there in the real world, but I respect his alias as I would expect him to respect mine. For this reason, I will only refer to him as Yog, Yogger, Canadian Yogger, or Nemma.
Other than Yogger, I know practically no one in this little 'community' that has developped. Links from the Canadian Yogger page take me into the minds of foreigners to me. Even if you knew my true identity, very few could actually put a face to my name. For this reason, I chose to be simply "The RiP Kord". I will try not to offend anyone by my comments. I find that many in this 'community' have a wonder to them. I also see that God is in the hearts of most everyone in it. Praise be to God!
I look forward each day to reading the blogs of so many interesting people. I will also endeavor to post on occassion now that I have set up this blog site.
God Bless everyone!!!
